HousingFeedDoes Zillow have an API?
Yes. Zillow documents a range of APIs and data products, but it does not offer a self-serve API that gives third-party products a reusable feed of Zillow rental listings. The rentals APIs send listings to Zillow and leads out of it; the MLS listings platform is invite-only and controlled by each MLS; the data APIs are for preapproved licensees under terms that forbid keeping copies.
What Zillow Group's developer portal offers.
Zillow Group's portal lists "close to 20 APIs ... available to the Public as well as Partners", grouped by mortgage, MLS and broker data, public data, rentals, transactions and Zestimates. For a rental product, four of them matter.

What the terms let a licensee do.
No copies. "You may not retain any copies of the Zillow Data": records are fetched per request, not stored.
Transactional display only. "You may present the Zillow Data only on a transactional basis" and users may not access it in bulk.
Not for a data product. "You may not use the Zillow Data to provide a service for other businesses."
Zillow branding required wherever the data appears, per the branding and display requirements.
Those conditions make Zillow's documented APIs a poor fit for a product that needs to store and continuously display a reusable rental inventory feed.
If what you need is rental listings you may display.
There are three routes, and they answer different questions.
Official Zillow routes
Bridge for MLS participants and their vendors, the rentals feed for managers sending listings in. Right if you are an MLS member or a property manager; not a supply of rentals for a new product.
Third-party Zillow data APIs and scrapers
Services that fetch Zillow pages and return them as JSON, including Actors on Apify. They deliver page data under their own terms. Using a third-party scraper does not itself give you rights to republish Zillow content. Scrapers compared →
A manager-direct licensed feed
Listings collected from property managers' and owners' own sites, licensed for display with attribution and a link back. This is what HousingFeed sells. It does not contain Zillow inventory, so the honest question is how much of a portal's inventory it replaces.

How to read it: the first column is a share of all portal buildings in the metro. The second column is a share of the remaining buildings only, those not published by a manager. In Phoenix, one portal building in five is also published by its manager; of the other four, 73% are single units a landlord posted natively on the portal. A manager-direct feed covers professionally managed buildings well and individual landlords' single units poorly. If your product needs the second group, no licensed feed supplies it today.

Is the Zillow API free?
The rentals feed integration is offered without charge to property managers sending listings to Zillow, subject to approval and a 4 to 6 week testing period. For the data APIs, Zillow's terms describe "preapproved licensees" and a default limit of 1,000 calls per day; no public price list is published on the developer site (checked 22 September 2026).
How do I get a Zillow API key?
Zillow's terms refer to a unique identifier (ZWSID) issued to preapproved licensees. Access is by application through the developer portal for the specific product; the MLS listings platform is "currently invite only".
Does Zillow have a rental listings API?
Not one that returns Zillow's rental inventory to a third-party product. The two rentals APIs move data the other way: property managers send listings to Zillow, and Zillow sends renter leads to property managers.
Can I scrape Zillow instead?
Scrapers exist, on Apify and elsewhere, and they return page data, not rights. Zillow's terms for licensed data say you "may not retain any copies" and may present data "only on a transactional basis"; using a scraper does not itself give you rights to republish the content. If your users will see the listings, that is the problem to solve first.
What is Bridge Interactive?
Zillow Group's platform for MLS and broker listing data, delivered in the RESO standard through a REST API. Per Zillow's page, "All data access is at the discretion of our individual MLS partners" and the platform is "currently invite only". It is a route to MLS listings for eligible brokers and their vendors, not to Zillow's rental listings.
Where do I get rental listings I am allowed to display?
From the people who publish them: property managers and owners. HousingFeed collects those listings at the source and licenses eligible records for display, with attribution and a link back.
