We find the websites and leasing software where property managers and owners publish their vacancies, read the listings at the source, normalise them into one schema, verify every week that each listing is still published, and license the result to companies that want to show current rentals inside their own product.
Two products on one database. The Display Feed: manager-direct US rental listings, verified weekly, licensed for public display in the licensee's product with the manager named and linked. The Data API: the whole database, portals included, 30 countries, pay per row on Apify, for research and internal tools, without display rights. The two are kept apart on purpose: portal listings are held for measurement and research and never enter the Display Feed, because those rights are not ours to grant.
A registry of 160,000+ candidate websites is fingerprinted for the leasing software behind each one. 30 source families are read directly, from the small landlord's management system to the leasing sites of large operators. Each listing gets a stable id, a normalised address with coordinates, rent in its own currency and in USD, and three timestamps: first seen, last verified, last read. Every week each source is re-read; a listing leaves the feed only when its source confirms it is gone. Before delivery, test rows, commercial premises, implausible rents, generated boilerplate and Fair Housing preference language are removed, and every export passes an automated pre-delivery check. The method, the numbers and their definitions are public: coverage by state and metro (850,000+ displayable listings, measured 2026-09-20), and how listings are verified.
HousingFeed is built and run by Iron, an independent founder in the Netherlands, with the crawling infrastructure in Amsterdam and Ashburn, Virginia. There is no sales layer: the person who built the system reads the email and replies, usually within one business day. The roadmap is set by what customers ask for in those emails.
HousingFeed is a trading name of Simple Studio B.V., a private limited company incorporated in the Netherlands. That is the entity you contract with, that invoices you, and that signs a Display Feed licence. Dutch law, courts of Amsterdam.
