Does Redfin have an API?
No. Redfin does not publish a developer API for its listings. It offers downloadable housing-market statistics in its Data Center and a capped download of search results where the local MLS allows it. Its terms forbid automated crawling or querying of the site without written permission.
What Redfin offers instead of an API.
Redfin gives two official ways to take data away from its site. Neither is a feed of individual listings that another product can show.
| Route | What you get | Limits |
|---|---|---|
| Redfin Data Center | Housing-market statistics as downloadable files: market tracker, home price index, existing home sales, investor purchases, migration and affordability | Statistics for areas over time, updated weekly, monthly or quarterly; not individual homes |
| Download of search results | A file of the homes in one Redfin search | "Only ... if the local MLS allows it"; "a 350-home cap"; not offered under 20 results |
| A developer API | Not offered | Redfin documents no public API for listings or data |

What the terms say about automated access.
No scraping without permission. "You may not automatedly crawl or query the Services for any purpose or by any means (including, without limitation, screen and database scraping, spiders, robots, crawlers ...) unless you have received prior express written permission."
No redistribution. You may not "reproduce, redistribute, create derivative works based upon, or attempt to commercially gain from" your use of the services, except as the services permit.
So the useful question for a product is not which Redfin scraper to use. It is where to get listings you are allowed to show.
Three routes, depending on what you need.
Market statistics
Redfin's Data Center files are the right source for prices, sales and inventory trends by area. Check the terms of the dataset you use.
For-sale listings
These come from the MLS, through IDX or VOW feeds for brokers and their vendors. MLS and IDX feeds →
Rental listings you may display
Most professionally managed rentals are published on the property manager's own website first. HousingFeed collects those listings where the manager publishes them and licenses eligible records for display, with attribution and a link back, delivered weekly with added, changed and removed listings. Questions people ask next.
Is there an official Redfin API?
Redfin does not publish a developer API for its listings or data (checked 5 November 2026). Its official data routes are the Data Center downloads and a capped download of search results.
Can I download data from Redfin?
Two ways. The Data Center has downloadable housing-market statistics, such as prices, sales and inventory over time by area. Separately, a Redfin search can be downloaded as a file where the local MLS allows it, capped at 350 homes, and not when the search returns fewer than 20.
Does Redfin have a rental listings API?
No. Redfin shows rentals on its site, but it does not offer them to other products through an API or a download, and its terms forbid automated crawling or querying without its written permission.
Can I scrape Redfin instead?
Scrapers and unofficial Redfin APIs exist, and they return page data, not rights. Redfin's terms say you may not automatedly crawl or query its services by any means, including scraping, spiders, robots or crawlers, without prior express written permission. If your users will see the listings, that is the problem to solve first.
